Katy and I used the last set in late 1993 when we flew to Germany with another fruit of Katy’s (and RC’s) labor, 7 month old Chelsey. It was a fun and exhausting trip. As anyone who has ever flown with a young one overseas knows, babies don’t adjust to the time change, well at least, not until it’s time to come home. We would take turns at being awake with her in the night, eating chocolate and drinking cokes to keep the caffeine / sugar high going.
So every year at this time, these memories wash over me and I’m again reminded at how proud, and envious, I am of Katy’s determination, heart and strength. While I could go on and on and on, this is only one small story in many of my baby sister and how she grew up to be my hero!
Love,
Sylva
