Kindness on Purpose Day - Nov. 19th, 2014!
You make difference!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
to everyone that participated with us to make a difference.
We know you perform acts of kindness every day in your lives, and we appreciate you taking the extra time to join together with us in this concentrated effort.
You've not only made a difference in the lives
of those you helped directly, you've also enriched our lives and encouraged us to continually be open to ways to spread love and kindness in our world.
You may have gotten a big 'thank you' or hug, or it may have been anonymous. Either way, you make a difference!

Kindness on Purpose Day November 19, 2013
I collected from coworkers and friends jackets/ blankets and warm clothes/sleeping bags and even got a huge bag of soaps, shampoos, conditioner and lotions and delivered them to shelter near my job which in turn affects many of our clients and people walking into our building :) I know it will make a difference and the best part is !! I am still collecting and will continue to until people stop bringing them in :) I didn't have access to a computer until today and I don't have pics but it still counts!!! -- Jennifer - Tempe, AZ

Women of the Phoenix Sisters on Purpose meetup group donated career clothes, children's clothing, household items and money to: Sojourner Center for Domestic Violence, Fresh Start for Women & Singleton Mom's -single mom's with Cancer.
One of the acts of kindness demonstrated by the 5th graders at Wildfire Elementary in Phoenix, Arizona was letters of thanks for local firefighters. They also donated school supplies for less fortunate children, helped in the lunchroom, and provided towels and blankets for Re-Paw, a pet adoption resource in Phoenix. So generous!
Animal lovers in the 3rd, 4th and 6th grades at Wildfire Elementary gave to the Arizona Humane Society. They supplied blankets, pet food, toys, and much more. I think there will be some pretty happy puppies and kittens. Way to go, students!
Wildfire's 1st and 2nd graders held a competition to see who could collect the most canned food. The winner was Paradise Valley Food Bank who received an estimated 600 lbs. of food. WOW!
Kindergarten students at Wildfire Elementary each brought $1 and purchased gift cards at Walmart to say thank you to their school's cleaning crew. Good job, guys! --

I have noticed of late that I haven't been very kind to myself so I decided that my act of kindness would be to consciously focus on being more patient throughout the day. This would be a kindness to myself and to everyone I had contact with. So I set my mind to it and off to work I went letting people into "my" lane during my commute (not normal for me), no finger tapping while waiting in line at Starbucks (I paid for the 3 cars behind me :-)). When I felt my natural impatience begin to creep back in I would think of Debbie and how patient she has always been with me even when I had a meltdown on a Sisters trip to Italy. I felt so much better at the end of the day that I have decided to try to implement this new attitude every day. Thank you, Debbie, for the inspiration to once again make me a better me!

After taking Noah to school, Chloe and I headed to McDonalds to buy breakfast for someone. The guy behind me passed it along and bought breakfast for the car behind him! It spreads so fast!

Awesome ladies from my investment club joined me today for kindness on purpose day to put up Christmas decorations @ a local supportive housing development for homeless individuals & families. Felt good to see the simple joy on the faces-both young and old as we put up 3 Christmas trees.

I purchased a blanket and visited a local Medicare Nursing home. Met with Social Worker Mgr and asked for a patient in need with no family. I was introduced to a male patient ("Dale") - 59 yrs old - who suffered a stroke and is now permanently disabled both physically and mentally. He loved the blanket (very thin institutional blankets barely get job done.) We talked for awhile and I committed to returning to him next week. I recently lost my younger brother and best friend to cancer - same age. Somehow(?) I was directed to this man to provide comfort as I did for my adorable brother.

Kindness on Purpose Day! - November 19, 2012
Our first "Kindness on Purpose Day" was simply amazing! From the moment we announced our plans for this special day, we have heard from many people about how unexpected acts of kindness have touched their lives personally. From a very simple gesture or a smile, to people showing up in a big way. So, thank you all your inspirational stories. We don't pretend to have invented this idea, and we know that most of you do countless kind actions daily without giving it much thought. Our hope is simply to remind us all to recognize the opportunities to help others everyday. Even if it is just with a smile or a gesture. See some of below for names and locations of some folks who participated as well as their stories and feel free throughout the year to add your experience...
Thanks to everyone that shared our 2012 retreats with us as we reflected and replenished in
