Have you ever been totally crazy tired and when you finally had a chance to lie down and go to sleep, your mind just goes crazy and you can't get to sleep? Well that's what happened. I've been very excited to have a blog and once this blank canvas was available, so many thoughts began swirling around, above and through my head. I couldn't seem to focus enough to express one single coherent thought ;-).
On the other hand, through all my swirling thoughts, and other things I've been doing at work, there has been a common thread - the word "awareness". I seem to be using it and thinking it more frequently than usual and ... since Debbie is doing a monthly word and ... I always want to copycat her, I decided I would use "awareness" as my word this month. Aware = Conscious = Alert = Attentive = Awake = Responsive (don't you love the online Thesaurus?) So ... I'm going to commit to be more aware of my surroundings, to try to see something new everyday on my repetitive drive, to be more attentive with people I'm talking to and not multi-task while I'm talking to them and to, especially, be more conscious of the attitude and energy radiating from me.
And now I think about it (ok, I'm a little slow), to be increasingly aware of the journey we're on. To soak in every minute. I feel so blessed, so supported, so full of anticipation and so very lucky. I love you both and am so grateful we are where we are, doing what we're doing!!!
